Dave Eggar is an American cellist, pianist, composer, and arranger celebrated for his genre-crossing work spanning classical, jazz, pop, rock, and world music. A musical prodigy, he performed on Broadway and at the Metropolitan Opera by age seven and made his Carnegie Hall debut at fifteen. Trained at Juilliard and Harvard, Eggar has built a wide-ranging career that includes solo albums, film and studio work, and collaborations with artists such as Coldplay, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, and Frank Ocean. A multiple Grammy nominee, he is known for seamlessly bridging concert music and contemporary popular styles.

Aurora Rising is a deeply personal album rooted in healing music and meditation. The cello and piano—representing two parts of the artist—intertwine in an intimate dialogue, guiding a journey toward self-acceptance, peace, and grace. Lyrics co-written with Amber Rubarth expand this arc, culminating in a final Shiva Asana track that leads the listener into a space of light. Created during Eggar’s return to New York and the resumption of full touring in the post-COVID era, the album reflects the courage to rediscover flow, recognize inner light, and welcome a new dawn of possibility, curiosity, and hope.

Produced by Chuck Palmer, a Brooklyn-based musician, producer, and composer whose work spans genres and mediums. A versatile drummer and percussionist, Palmer also writes, arranges, and conducts, and has collaborated with artists including Foreigner, Frank Ocean, Esperanza Spalding, RJD2, and Zayn Malik. He has contributed to Grammy-nominated projects, composes for film, tours internationally, and is active in residencies and collaborative works.
