Keiju produced his solo album based on the theme of appreciating “aqua” (water), one of the crucial elements needed on this wonderful planet, Earth. He produced six songs for this album in Kamiyama in Tokushima prefecture, Japan, surrounded by the sounds of nature in 2001. This is his first Japanese album for Keiju as he spent 18 years cultivating a career in Thailand; seven of the tracks on this album were written there. The one of the tracks from the album, “Miare”, describes the atmosphere of the ancient Japan based on the old traditional dance music of a shrine in Kamiyama. The album features the leading shamisen (Japanese traditional 3 stringed guitar) player Machiko Toyosawa. When you listen to this album, it’s like being in Jumon era.

KEIJU is the multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar and many ethnic instruments. His music career started in Thailand. Influenced by Rock, Jazz, Classics and ethnic music, his music is full of unique sounds and originality. After his 17 years of career in Thailand, he moved to Japan and started touring with lots of acclaimed artists.
Now, we are happy to introduce him to the rest of the world!
