This is a limited edition Sake cup. Called a “Masu” in Japan, it is made of wood (Hinoki) and is square (Size: 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 2 inch). There are engravings of Kitaro’s name on two sides written in Kanji.
For an authentic Japanese experience, drink your sake from the Masu cup. Originally designed to measure rice, Masu cups became popular throughout rural Japan. Made of unvarnished Hinoki wood, it is believed to have natural antibiotic properties and relaxation effectiveness with its natural aromaticity. Square cup holds 180ml (6 fl oz).
