TAO OF SOUND is the band/production team comprised of multi-instrumentalists Taku Hirano and Daniel Pearson. These world-class musicians have performed live, recorded with, and consulted a who’s who in the music industry, spanning practically every genre of popular music.
Recently TAO OF SOUND signed to Domo Records and will be releasing their debut album, METRO in 2010.

International credits include performances and recordings with two-time Academy Award-winning Indian film composer A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), Golden Globe/Grammy Award-winning Japanese composer and New Age pioneer Kitaro, Japanese pop superstar Utada Hikaru, Italian vocal icon Giorgia, Swedish theatrical drum troupe ConRytmo, Korean pop star U-Know Yunho, Canadian artists Amanda Marshall and Chantal Kreviazuk, Korean producer/artist Ra.D, Sudanese rapper Emmanuel Jal, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Through TAO MUSIC GROUP, the multimedia/film/television branch of Tao Of Sound, their music has been heard on HBO, NBC, ABC, PBS, E! Entertainment Television, Sony Pictures Television, The History Channel, The Style Channel, ANA All Nippon Airways (Japan) in-flight entertainment, major motion picture scores for Twentieth Century-Fox and DreamWorks, film soundtracks for DreamWorks, Atlantic Records, and Capitol Records, and on sound libraries for P5 Audio. Their work can currently be heard on programming for My Channel on Sky TV (United Kingdom)
Recent projects include remixes for Rap superstar Kanye West (Roc-A-Fella/Island Def Jam) on his platinum-selling 2008 release 808s & Heartbreak, Jackson 5 remixes for Universal Motown Records’ Michael Jackson Remix Suite, and production/remix work on Lullaby For My Favorite Insomniac, by internationally-acclaimed Classical artists The Ahn Trio (Sony BMG Masterworks).
