Song of the Day – Morricone

Today’s song is Morricone from Yoshida Brothers’ album “III.” This song stood out as I listened through the whole album and that was simply because it was different from the others.
The song breaks down to three sections and each has its own unique feel. The brothers, also, play in different style. Instead of showing off their fancy chops, they play modestly, for half of the song, playing the accompaniment.
So this song shows another face of Shamisen: I never thought its edggy sound would blend in with a backband.
